How it all started...
Dorothy’s Citchen was born from the love and legacy of home. Growing up, after-school meals prepared by Chef Yaloni's grandmother were more than just food — they were comfort, tradition, and love served on a plate. When I became old enough to watch over my little brother, quick meals weren’t enough. I began recreating her recipes, calling her step-by-step through college until the flavors became second nature. As I grew older, I realized something powerful: many of my friends had never experienced real, authentic cuisine — the kind that feeds both your body and your soul. That passion became my love language, and I knew I had to share it with the world. What started as dishes for family functions soon grew into something greater. Today, Dorothy’s Citchen serves weddings, birthdays, corporate events, government/federal clients, and intimate in-home experiences. We specialize in premium-quality meals, thoughtful presentation, and exceptional service — always guided by our mission: No Stomach Left Behind.
Where we are headed...
Our journey doesn’t stop here. Dorothy’s Citchen is preparing to launch branded kitchen tools, culinary apparel, and limited-edition drops. We’re developing a cookbook that shares our recipes — and our story. We also dream of opening an event space with a commercial kitchen where we can serve, teach, and uplift.
Eventually, we’ll bring this flavor of American culture and cuisine to people who might not get to travel or experience it otherwise. We’re also growing our mentorship efforts and offering exclusive products inspired by our signature setups.
